So in an attempt to get myself back into blogging I decided to write a new feature! It's kinda like a summary of the month as long as i don't blogging, in which I will write about my favorite activities, books, movies, blogs, etc. Hopefully I can keep up with this (mood to write and out from comfort zone) --that I will post at the end of every month, I'm really excited to share my love for things that inspire me and make me happy with you! Enjoy ♥

A view days ago I went to House of Sampoerna Museum (HoS)
with my friend. The wonderful Dutch colonial-style building is located
in the old part of Surabaya*. It has exhibits on the use of cloves and
the history of clove cigarettes in Indonesia. When I first entered the
building, the smell of cloves and tobacco was in the air. Other exhibits include personal
belongings of Liem Seeng Tee‚ the founder of Sampoerna. There were a
bike, family photos from various eras, even a kebaya that was once owned
by his wife.
As we exited this main museum building, we headed for the art gallery of HoS. The place was cozy, a batik art exhibition ongoing take place there. At the first floor we found Madura ethnic batik, then at the second floor are for other ethnic batik from another district.
The buildings at this site are fantastic, they have fascinating exhibits, and the best thing is that the entry is free!
*How to get there by public transportation :
-Start from terminal Purabaya --> naik bis kota jurusan JMP lalu jalan kaki (JMP-HoS +/- 200m)
-Start from terminal Bratang --> naik angkot O atau Q, berhenti di JMP, lalu jalan kaki
